| Introduction | Low-alloy steel refers to alloy steel with a total amount of alloying elements less than 5%. Low-alloy steel is relative to carbon steel. It is based on carbon steel. In order to improve the performance of steel, one or more alloying elements are intentionally added to steel. When the amount of alloy added exceeds the general content of the normal production method of carbon steel, the steel is called alloy steel.
